Lessons of UNBROKENness: summarizing the results
On September 2, the school year started in Lviv, and the first lessons of UNBROKENness were held in all Lviv schools, in all classes. Young Ukrainians were reminded about the war in the country, why they should help volunteers, and how to communicate with people who lost their limbs in the war or because of the war.
The UNRBOKEN National Rehabilitation Center patients visited six schools in Lviv to teach children something important: being UNBROKEN is not easy, but it is in difficulties and challenges that true strength of spirit is manifested...
More than 500 children had the opportunity to talk to the veterans. They asked them about their lives and prostheses, shared their dreams and thoughts, thanked the UNBROKEN veterans with warm words, and touched them with gifts they had created with their own hands.
The conversation with the younger generation about interaction with veterans, mental health, and invisible traumas is necessary. And we would like to remind everyone of this!
